The higher the numbers of reputed websites linking to your blog, higher are the chances of getting higher page rank. So, the bottom line is submit your links to as many sites as you can. But remember, not to submit the links to any fake site that is being penalized by Google, else Google can also trap you.

Obviously, you must follow other strategies too to improve your Google Page Rank. As a saying – ‘Content Is King’, write well and in your own words. But back linking plays a vital role. So, do focus on submitting your blog where you can get a link-love.

How to make urls Search Engine Friendly

No Comments 24 October 2009

Common Words like a, an, the, and, to etc. should be removed from the urls in order to make them friendly for search engines. These words weaken your SEO. Many bloggers ignore this fact but it is something that should be taken care of. You can do this manually. When you write a post, edit its url by removing such words. You can also refer a plugin for this – SEO Slugs Wordpress plugin. This plugin automatically removes such words from your link when you publish the post.

Here, one question arises?
If the plugin will remove the words from older posts, it would be a great panic.
Don’t worry, it depends on you whether you want to enable it for your older posts as well. By default, older posts urls will remain unaffected.

10 Comments 11 October 2009

While creating a new blog, we all are left with these 3 options:

How to protect the content from being copied—WP-Copy Protect Plugin

1 Comment 02 October 2009

Many bloggers or website administrators do fear of the thieves that do copy the content of their blogs or websites. Obviously, you re working so hard and writing something for your site and one steals everything without even giving a penny to you. If you get to know him, definitely you can take any action against him. But why not restrict him at the first go itself. Wouldn’t it be better if he is unable to copy or you place certain hurdles in his way?

WP-copy Protect is the solution. This plugin disables the right click and thus, disallowing the content-thief to copy your hard-work. But this plugin of wordpress is also not 100% in itself. The person can still go to View Source and copy the material but still its better as it increases atleast, some obstacles in his path.
