If you want to increase the performance of your Android phone battery then right after getting ROM on it, you should calibrate it. But it’s also true that calibration on Android phones is little difficult as it will force you several times to boot into recovery.
But thanks to XDA member marosige who has made an app BatteryCalibration.apk that allows you to calibrate your handset battery without rebooting it multiple times.
You should do calibration after flashing a new ROM. This program removes the batterystats.bin system file and does this for you. Soon, the OS generates a new clean batterystats file.
It’s suggested, however not required, to let the phone fully discharge after calibration, then charge to 100% without break.
The app shows you actual battery status. It only allows you to start the calibration (i.e. removes the file) when it’s fully charged.
Download BatteryCalibration.apk. If you are unable to download, comment here and we will mail it to you.
