WordPress 3.0 is available for download. I don’t know when WordPress released its 3.0 to be downloaded from WordPress Dashboard, but I saw it today itself. May be because I signed into my WordPress admin after many days and so saw today itself.

WordPress 3.0 is the stable release of WordPress and you should definitely update your WordPress version to this new release. Also, after sticking with 2. + versions, this is the first version of 3.0 series by WordPress community. So its worth to update.

How to open comments in new window in WordPress

As I stated in mine post Should Comments open in same window or different windows , I asked you to open your comments in new window. Here I am telling you how to do this. WordPress by default open the comments in same window.

To force your site to open external comments in new tab, follow the below steps:
1. Login to your ftp account.

WordPress 2.9.2 is available for download. If you provide User Registration on your blog then this update is must for you.
As per stated on wordpress site at http://wordpress.org/development/2010/02/wordpress-2-9-2/ ,
Thomas Mackenzie alerted us to a problem where logged in users can peek at trashed posts belonging to other authors. If you have untrusted users signed up on your blog and sensitive posts in the trash, you should upgrade to 2.9.2.

So, in case users can register on your blog then update it asap. Others also can update it.
